dc.description.abstract In this study, the e ects of variable viscosity on unsteady natural convection hydromag- netic ow of an incompressible electrically conducting uid, past an isothermal sphere was investigated. The non-linear partial di erential equations governing the ow were solved numerically using the nite di erences method and implemented using MATLAB software. The velocity pro les, the temperature pro les, the skin friction, heat transfer and the e ect of varying the various ow parameters are discussed. These ow param- eters include the Grashof number,Reynolds number, the magnetic parameter and the viscous variation parameter. A change on the parameters is observed to either increase, decrease or to have no e ect on the ow. en_US
